Heidi Sutton
Case Manager
Heidi graduated from the University of West Florida with a BA in Criminal Justice in December of 2023, where she learned a lot about human trafficking and different criminological theories related to trafficking. Heidi began her internship at The Secret Place in August of 2023. In her internship, she was able to get valuable insight on human trafficking and the impact victim advocacy makes outside of studies and a classroom setting. She began to build rapport with clients throughout the months of her internship and in February of 2024 she began her new role as Case Manager. With Heidi having a Criminal Justice degree, it helps bring additional knowledge to TSP of the Criminal Legal System and our survivors’ rights so she can advocate in court. Heidi provides a safe space for clients to share experiences, concerns, or needs. Heidi fully believes in the power of community and collaboration to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for survivors.
